Fleurieu Physiotherapy - Physio Goolwa - Physiotherapist - Stuart Thomson

Stuart has a passion for Physiotherapy and encouraging people to lead healthier lifestyles. He graduated from the University of South Australia with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy. Stuart prides himself on communicating with patients so that they understand their condition and loves to see them self-managing and enjoying life on the Fleurieu Peninsula.

Stuart has extensive experience working with both long and short-term injuries and has a particular interest in treating back pain, shoulder pain and hip pain. Stuart is excellent at managing tendon injuries (tendinopathy) and bursitis of the hip.

Stuart worked at the South Coast District Hospital in Victor Harbor, giving him extensive experience in the rehabilitation of hip, knee and shoulder surgeries. Most of Stuart’s career has been in a busy private practice environment, where he feels confident delivering individualised treatment plans to ensure every patient has a swift recovery.

Other areas of interest include undertaking functional movement screening and corrective exercise prescription for athletes. Stuart also has a special interest in Parkinson's Disease and runs a specialized exercise group called 'PD Warrior' for people with Parkinson's Disease.

By far and away Stuart’s favourite part about being a Physiotherapist is helping people get back to sport, work and the activities they love to do.

Stuart loves living in Middleton. Out of work you’ll find Stuart having a hit of tennis in Port Elliot, going for a jog around Horseshoe Bay and having a coffee at Middleton Point whilst checking the results of his beloved Adelaide University Football Club ‘The Blacks’ in the Sunday Mail.

Chloe loves running classes in Fleurieu Physiotherapy & Wellness' very own Pilates Studio. Chloe has also done further training in exercise prescription for cancer rehabilitation.

In her free time Chloe enjoys cooking, baking and painting. Chloe also loves walking her dog 'Daisy' along Goolwa and Middleton beaches. Chloe will be on maternity leave from late February 2019 and is very excited to welcome her first baby to the FP&W team.
